All right! [She takes a seat, puts the notebook down on the table without opening it. She'll do a bit more formal of an introduction, and she's pretty sure it will spark some questions.]
I'm Yuri, I'm 28 years old, I'm from True Cross Town in Japan. I work as an exorcist at a demon farm, and teach beginner and intermediate Taming classes. My current research focus is on the psychosocial development of newly incarnated upper level demons.
[ Shortly after she sits, he brings the two cups over with steaming hot coffee, then the milk and sugar. Then, he sits too.
Just from how she seemed over the network, he fully expects her to get right down to the meat of this. What he doesn't expect is the whole exorcist at a demon farm thing. And there's research? (Of course there's research, if these things are just a regular part of her life and world.) ]
He laughs a little, bewildered at both that response and her lack of offense at what he said. Although, maybe there wasn't really anything to be offended by, either. ]
I'm, uhh, a doctor. Army doctor, previously, now just ... a regular doctor. And sort of a detective. Or, well, detective's partner, really. Private detective, that is.
[ 'Consulting detective,' he imagines Sherlock correcting him. ]
I know the type! [though the person she knew... the less said about him the better.] It can be kind of exhausting keeping up with somebody like that, but it sounds like you're doing a pretty good job.
No, but I love it. I love demons, and I love teaching other people about them. [As she lifts her own cup in a matching toast, that smile turns a little wistful, a little sad.]
It's really been the perfect life for me. [And now... well, now she's here.]
He's silent for long enough to take a sip of his coffee. ]
Yeah, mine's been perfect too, since meeting Sherlock.
[ He's not going to outright call her on it. If it really was perfect, it doesn't fully make sense to be here. Instead, he'll agree, because the same goes for him. It could be perfect, but it's ...
Well, if it wasn't for Moriarty, it would be.
Sherlock might not agree that Moriarty is a problem, though. ]

Are you John Watson?

That's me!
[ He steps over with a smile, holding out a hand. ]
Nice to meet you.

Did you want to start in on our cover stories right away, or get to know each other first? [She looks prepared. She has a notebook and a pen.]
no subject
I didn't even think of that. Probably a good idea.
[ And he lowers his hand again. ]
I was thinking we could get to know the real us a bit first.

[ Because what else does he even say? ]
Huh.
... You seem so normal.
[ Yeah, maybe that's not the thing to say. ]

I am pretty normal, even if my job isn't. Even where I'm from, it's pretty weird, but I just really like demons! What about you? What do you do?

sorry about the delay!
All good!
[ It's a big problem. ]

Something tells me your job isn't exactly a walk in the park either.
