You've reached Dr. John Watson. I'm probably busy. If you leave a message I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you.

[it's true. sophie's not quite ready to talk about her own violent tendencies, though]

The first attack was right at the beginning of autumn, I think, and the battle began perhaps a fortnight after it passed and lasted...four days, perhaps five? And then midwinter was a few weeks after that. I try not to mark time too closely here.

Because it's easier for me not to think about how long it's been. Asgard is not a sentence that will end after a certain time has passed, it's a task that can only be accomplished in its own time. Measuring it won't help me.

Mm. I'm sure there are some who keep records, though, if you are curious as to how things have passed.

Have you met Conan? If he's not keeping the records himself, he likely knows who is.

A bit. But there are a rather lot of people around here who might be considered odd. In some places, I would even still be considered a child.

[she shrugs]

Not where I'm from. I haven't been a child for a long time. How old would it be in your world, to be considered an adult?

[she shakes her head a little]

Modernity seems rather strange, on that account.

It would not be unusual for a woman in my homeland to be married and bearing children by then.

I suppose that does follow. My elder siblings might have preferred it, even, although they've all managed to avoid marriage thus far.

Very much so. Violet and Francescu, at least, were quite put off by suitors when they were young. Manfred enjoys certain benefits of knighthood, at least in terms of attractiveness to women.

Well, there's also the slaying monsters and bringing criminals to justice and whatnot, but I think he enjoys those as well.

It can be surprisingly fun. I run with him sometimes.
